Watch the First All-American Astronaut Launch in 9 Years! Witness history being made! American astronauts are being launched into space on an American rocket from American soil—and you can watch it all live! The entrepreneurial American company SpaceX will launch the Falcon 9 rocket from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida to the International Space Station. On board will be two NASA astronauts, Robert Behnken and Douglas Hurley. Where to Watch LIVE 3 .. . 2 . . . 1 . . . liftoff! The official liftoff was scheduled for Wednesday, May 27, at 4:33 p.m. EDT (20:33 UTC). However, the first rain date is Saturday, May 30, at 3:22 p.m. EDT; the second is Sunday, May 31, at 3:00 p.m. EDT.
