
Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss! We are celebrating the birthday of Springfield’s own Dr. Seuss all week at Springfield City Library! Join us at participating branches for some Seuss fun!
East Forest Park Branch- Test your knowledge of Dr. Seuss with a scavenger hunt. When completed, patrons will receive a raffle ticket to win a Dr. Seuss inspired prize. Patrons will also have the opportunity to make a special Seussy craft in honor of Dr. Seuss’s birthday. Plus with March 3rd being a voting day.... vote for your favorite Dr. Seuss character and book.
Monday, March 2nd – Saturday, March 7th | During Open Hours | Ages 5 – 12, under 7 with adult supervision.
Library Express at Pine Point- One fish, two fish, red fish, blue fish. Come celebrate Dr. Seuss’ birthday at the library! Stop by for some fun crafts and a read aloud. Light refreshments will be served.
Monday, March 2nd | 3:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. | Ages 3 - 10.
Mason Square Branch – Celebrate Dr. Seuss at the library with a Seuss-y storytime, wonderful whimsical activities, and a birthday cake.
Wednesday, March 4th | 3:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. | Ages 3 - 10.
East Springfield Branch - Decorate a cupcake inspired by the art of Dr. Seuss. Dress for a mess.
Saturday, March 7th | 1 - 2 p.m. | Ages 6 + | Spaces Limited.
